It's really very good quality. The skirt itself is soft, stretchy fabric and the waist portion really synches you in. I'm 5'8 / 165lbs usually a size 8 in bottoms and am just able to zip up the medium, could go up. It goes just above my ankles, so if you're 5'5, for example, this will likely fit more like a maxi skirt in terms of length. I think I'm going to buy one in a 2nd color. really liking the style of this.
